Improve your political analysis and problem-solving skills
Are you interested in questions of how democracy works and the theories behind it? Or in analysing political power and organisation? This Master’s degree focuses on these issues and others. It will enhance your ability to conduct political analysis and improve your problem-solving skills, provide training in the methodology used in the social sciences, and develop your ability to apply these skills to your studies autonomously. The programmes also make use of research performed by members of staff and link theory-driven, normative, empirical, and conceptual analyses. You will study political power and organisation in both specific and wider senses, both within and between various societal and analytical levels.
The theory and methodology of political process and practices
This Master’s programme will provide you with the skills to independently apply and appraise the application of theories, methodologies, concepts, assumptions, and analytical tools in political science research vis-à-vis political practices and processes at all levels, and to do so in an informed and scholarly manner. You will learn to lucidly and concisely summarise, compile, and communicate the results of analyses and investigations in the field of political science, as well as to discuss how affirmative and critical knowledge perspectives and modes of operation are used in political science.
