Introduction

The objective of the RUBIKA Bachelor cycle is to allow our students to discover all professions in digital creation, to specialize in the field of their choice (industrial design, animation or video games), to acquire a solid foundation of knowledge academic skills necessary for creation, to master technical tools and to know how to work in a team per project.

It also allows you to control communication around these projects.

The challenge of this multidisciplinary training is to enable students to develop an approach to creation that is both systemic and global, combining theoretical knowledge, technical skills and carrying out projects on all types of media, both material and digital.

It also consists of developing a culture of interpersonal skills, allowing our students to master teamwork skills, but also to know how to express themselves and present a project in front of an audience, in French and in English.

For this, the Bachelor Cycle offers a set of common courses, called fundamentals. They represent 70% in the 1st year, 50% in the 2nd year and 30% in the 3rd year of the Bachelor Cycle and are associated with specialized teaching in the fields of animation, video games and design.

Specialized courses in Animation

Learning the fundamentals of creating an animated film through the completion of numerous exercises and projects. Consolidation of academic artistic lessons: drawing, perspectives, colors, typography, etc.

  • Discovery of the principles of traditional and digital animation
  • Creation of a motion design film
  • Production of a 2D animated film
  • Mastery of technical animation tools in 2D and 3D
  • (3DSMax and Maya)

Specialized teaching in Video Games

Learning the fundamentals of gaming, game design and level design and introduction to programming through the completion of numerous projects.

  • Creating a board game
  • Creating a 2D game on Unity
  • Creation of a 3D game
  • Carrying out projects within the framework of competitions
  • Carrying out projects on different platforms.

The video game artistic specialization allows students to learn how to create characters, environments and interfaces for all types of games.

  • Learning animation
  • Creation of team games with game designers.

Specialized courses in Design

Learning the fundamentals linked to the professions of Transport, Product and Services Design and 3D through the discovery of methodologies applied to the realization of Projects (individual, groups, competitions and industrial projects supervised by professional speakers)
