Consistently honored as one of the top curricula of its kind in the nation by research firm Gartner Inc., the GSCM program equips students with the skills and experiences needed for a career in the exciting field of global supply chain management.
Through every phase of a product’s life cycle, global supply chain management professionals ensure that customers get the products and services they need and want — faster, better, and more cost-effectively — from across town or around the world. They play a critical role in the successful functioning of businesses, healthcare, nonprofit agencies, and governments.

Scholarships and Awards
The scholarships below are competitive and are typically awarded based on a comprehensive review of the student's academic record, including cumulative high school GPA, rigor of academic course selection, test scores, and auditions (if applicable), and other supporting credentials.

To be considered for a merit-based academic scholarship, you must:
- Apply to Rider: Submit your completed application for admission, including official transcripts, standardized test scores (unless applying test-optional), essay, and one letter of recommendation by January 15. (Note: the final deadline is November 15th for all Musical Theatre and Acting applicants.)
- Rider offers Test-optional Admission, which means SAT/ACT scores are not required for admission and most scholarships at Rider. Test-optional applicants will be given full consideration for most merit-based scholarships.
- Are you a high achiever? Students with a 4.0 GPA and 1300+ SAT/28+ ACT score may be eligible to receive the maximum merit-based scholarship offer of $27,000. You must submit your SAT/ACTs to Rider in order to qualify for this award level.
- Complete an audition, if required (audition results are a factor in scholarship awards).
- Be regularly admissible to the University as a full-time student.
- Have a minimum cumulative academic 2.7 GPA (unweighted) on a 4.0 scale.
For New Jersey residents—the Rider Tuition Guarantee:
Rider guarantees free tuition for qualified in-state students! If you're a New Jersey resident with a GPA of 3.5 or above based on a 4.0 grading scale, an adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less, and are receiving both full TAG and Pell grants, you may be eligible to attend Rider University tuition-free when you apply as an undergraduate student for the fall 2025 or spring 2026 start terms. Rider's interdisciplinary global supply chain management program combines theory and practice with hands-on internship and mentoring experiences to provide students with an understanding of the important role of supply chain management in domestic and international business.
Faculty include professors with expertise in supply chain management and logistics, information systems, marketing, international business, and management science, as well as supply chain professionals from private industry and non-profits. Students learn the many dimensions of supply chain networks that businesses use to acquire, produce, and deliver goods and services across the global marketplace. They also gain skills that prepare them for success in this fast-growing field.

Every global supply chain management major gains valuable hands-on experience through one or more internships or co-ops at firms such as Church & Dwight, Estée Lauder, Becton Dickinson, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oréal, and Pfizer.
At the completion of the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Management degree, a GSC major will demonstrate the ability to:
- Apply knowledge of the components of global supply chains to address real-world supply chain management (SCM) trade-offs and management problems.
- Develop appropriate SCM operating strategies.
- Recognize how organizations operate to comply with regional and international governing laws and cultural norms that affect the conduct of business.
- Develop SCM policies and procedures based on research.
- Apply SCM methods and concepts to real-world problems through experience acquired in a required co-op or internship in SCM.
Here's what you'll learn
This is an interdisciplinary program that merges coursework from operations, marketing, business analytics, information systems, management science, and international business. At Rider, you'll learn to see and understand connections between the different supply chain-related disciplines. You will also learn about the different operating models used in today’s businesses and gain an appreciation for how businesses operate among different cultures and regions of the world.
Program objectives:
- Become familiar with components of global supply chains (e.g., sourcing, manufacturing and production, distribution, sales, and customer service) and issues related to the management of global supply chains.
- Understand the similarities and differences, as well as the strengths and weaknesses, of different business operating models.
- Gain insights into how organizations operate and adapt to cultural and regional norms, address border issues, and comply with local, regional, and international laws governing the conduct of business.
- Understand the connections between disciplines related to GSCM (e.g., Operations, Marketing, Sales, Information Systems, International Business).
- Obtain hands-on experience with global supply chains through a required co-op or internship experience.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of current and future career opportunities within GSCM.
