About: Rhodes Wellness College’s Professional Integrative Nutrition Diploma combines nutrition with mental, emotional and spiritual health to help clients with depression, addiction and trauma make dietary changes. You’ll receive experiential training and practicum placement support from a Student Services Manager, gaining applied skills employers seek.
Career Outcomes: Graduates can work across nutritional wellness and frontline mental health or addiction recovery. Roles may include integrative nutritionist, holistic health coach, wellness consultant, addiction recovery support worker and community health educator. You can find employment in clinics, rehab centers, wellness centers, private practice, corporate wellness or public health programs and nonprofit health organizations.
Graduates that complete nutrition-only programs report difficulty when trying to help clients overcome issues that branch into non-nutrition areas. Depression, addiction, past physical trauma, and other challenges that are commonplace in today’s world make it difficult to motivate others to make nutritional changes that will benefit their health. Similarly, nutrition has a profound effect on an individual’s sense of emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Counselors that ignore this area are not utilizing every potential tool to help their clients.
