Raffles Milano Visual Design Area

A solid path, with room to grow.

The Visual Design area is built around one core educational pathway:

Visual & Graphic Design

The foundation of the program: designed to develop a strong command of visual language, layout, and design tools to create clear, consistent, and impactful visual communication. All students follow this path as the essential basis of their training.

In addition, it is possible to integrate a specialized module:

Communication Design & Management

For those who want to enrich their skills with managerial, strategic, and creative coordination competencies. Topics include branding, project management, digital strategy, and the intersection between design, communication, and marketing.

Both paths share solid design foundations and allow students to shape a well-rounded professional profile, with the flexibility to focus on either visual practice or creative direction.

Communication Design and Management

Digital technologies have profoundly transformed the way people think, perceive, and communicate. These shifts have redefined the foundations of advertising and strategic communication, replacing traditional media with interactive digital ecosystems where constant exchange drives creativity and business.

Today’s communication landscape is dominated by global digital platforms — social networks, online communities, and immersive virtual environments — that shape the logic of creativity, production, and commerce.

This course equips students with the ability to understand and leverage these platforms, exploring their tools, dynamics, and innovative potential to develop new visual languages, content formats, and communication strategies suited to contemporary media.

Graduates of this program earn a First-Level Academic Diploma (D.M. n.1216, Aug. 31, 2023), officially recognized within Italy’s AFAM (High Artistic, Musical, and Coreutic Education) system and accredited by the European Accreditation Board of Higher Education Schools (EABHES) in Visual Design. In addition, students are awarded a Raffles Certificate Diploma in Communication Design and Management.
Students can also request an eCertificate issued by Raffles University.
