The program encourages experimentation across a wide range of creative disciplines, blending cultural and commercial contexts, and bridging the gap between analog and digital media. Alongside projects led by internationally acclaimed professionals, students take part in methodology workshops where they deepen their expertise in research, art direction, and branding.

Possible roles include Graphic Designer, Creative Director, Art Director, and Web Designer, allowing graduates to move fluidly across different sectors of the visual communication industry.
Diploma:
At the end of the course, Raffles Milano issues a Raffles Diploma to students who have successfully completed the programme.
As the Master’s programme is accredited by Guglielmo Marconi University of Rome, students holding a recognised Bachelor’s Degree / DAPL — or an equivalent qualification — may also be eligible to obtain an official Level I University Master’s Diploma, accredited by Guglielmo Marconi University of Rome, subject to the fulfilment of the relevant academic requirements and payment of the required supplementary charges.
This master’s program is designed for designers holding a first-level degree or for professionals with experience in graphic design, communication, visual arts, product design, or publishing.
It’s also ideal for those who view communication as a dynamic career path and a means of personal and creative growth.
The program appeals to individuals who value detail, believe in the emotional and artistic power of design, and understand that effective communication emerges from a balance of creativity, emotion, and strategic thinking.
Graduates in Visual Design and Communication can build careers in multiple fields where design meets public interaction — from editorial and media companies to start-ups and communication agencies.
They can work as freelancers or within global networks of branding, advertising, digital, and service design.
From mobile app interfaces to TV title sequences, from packaging design to editorial layouts, and from events to everyday products, the world becomes a vast playground of opportunities for design innovation.
Collaboration and creative thinking are at the heart of this program. Students work together to refine their skills in composition, drawing, typography, photography, and data visualization, building a strong technical and artistic foundation for turning ideas into reality.
They also explore multiple research approaches to gain a deep understanding of design challenges and the social, cultural, and technological contexts that shape them.
The curriculum spans a wide spectrum of communication and visual design — from cultural and editorial projects to commercial and digital applications — preparing students to create compelling and relevant visual outcomes.
