Introduction
Our LL.M. programme in International and European Law is primarily designed for students who wish to develop their understanding and knowledge of international and European Union law with the intent of pursuing a legal career with a strong international dimension. This Master's offers a thorough education in European law, including competition law, immigration law, external relations law, judicial protection, and public international law. Students receive a sound basis for an international legal career.

Many of the lecturers in this programme also practice law, which gives you an insight into the letter and practice of the law. Law students from Radboud University regularly take part in European Law moot court competitions, which allows them to build their skills and test their theoretical knowledge.
The programme has a good international mix of students, so you can learn from your peers, and make connections for the future. You also have the option of going abroad, either for an internship or to follow additional courses as an exchange student at our academic partner institutions.

The Master's Program in International and European Law at Radboud University is unique in that it not only provides a thorough understanding of European law in general but also offers further specialisation. After completing the compulsory courses you can specialise in one of five tracks:
International and European Law Advanced
Develop an elaborate understanding of European and international law including in-depth knowledge on the external dimension of EU law and the rules that govern the European Union's international relations.
Human Rights and Migration
Understand how international and European legal instruments influence the position and mobility of citizens in the EU and how the major international documents and courts protect the rights of individuals.
Business Law
Develop a strong understanding of all aspects of business law and the legal workings of the EU in order to deal with legal issues when doing business in or trading with the European Union.
European Law and Global Affairs
This specialisation offers a unique multidisciplinary Program combining the study of European law and political science. It focuses on the main challenges facing the EU in the 21st century and looks at the various legal rules and policy options that may be developed in response.
International Law and Global Security, Peace and Development (joint degree)
Learn more about international legal regimes relevant to global security, peace and development, by incorporating specialisms in human rights, migration, peace and security, and sustainable development.
