Students must meet all of the following requirements:

A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law equivalent to the Dutch educational level

Students must have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, with an educational level equivalent to the Dutch educational level. Students who have obtained their diploma in Indonesia, are required to have obtained a Master's degree in Law (Sarjana Hukum II).

For the specialization of European Law and Global Affairs: Students with a degree in Politics, Governance, International Relations, Liberal Arts or equivalent, with a substantial number of courses in Law, are also eligible for admission to this specialization. These students should provide proof of their knowledge of the basic concepts of Law.

Students are required to have an adequate knowledge of the English language. Prospective students need to provide evidence of their proficiency by submitting one of the following tests:

A TOEFL iBT: overall score ≥ 90 & writing subscore ≥ 23, all other subscores ≥ 22;

An IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5 overall (with a minimum score of 6.0 minimum for the components of listening, reading, and speaking and a 6.5 minimum for writing);

A Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) with a grade of C or higher or a Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) with a grade of C or higher.

This specialisation offers a unique multidisciplinary programme combining the study of European law and political science. It focuses on the main challenges facing the EU in the 21st century, and looks at the various legal rules and policy options that may be developed in response.

Students who have successfully completed this specialisation will be able to pursue a variety of job opportunities at the national or the international level. They may for example find work as policy advisor, consultant or lobbyist in the public sector, governmental agencies or other non-governmental organisations, or continue their career in academia.
