Introduction

The Department of Music Education and General Studies groups together all those students who wish to become music educators in schools in Puerto Rico and abroad. Our teacher preparation program is the leader in music educator training in Puerto Rico, offering students the opportunity to develop their critical thinking and aesthetic judgment skills, as well as a high level of musical performance.

He completes his preparation with a component of professional skills that enables him to practice the teaching profession in three different specialties: instrumental, choral, and general education, both at the elementary and secondary levels.
