Key Summary

About : A Bachelor in Nursing focuses on providing students with the knowledge and skills needed for a career in nursing. This program emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing graduates to deliver comprehensive patient care in various healthcare settings.
Career Outcomes : Graduates can pursue diverse roles in the nursing field, including positions in hospitals, clinics, and community health organizations. Potential career paths include registered nurse (RN), nurse educator, and healthcare administrator, among others. Additionally, there may be opportunities for specialization in areas such as pediatrics or geriatrics.

The Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing offers students a choice of two tracks in which they can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN, Pre-licensure) degree. Students can choose the pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) track or, for those who have already earned a nursing license, the RN to BSN track.

If your career goal is to become a registered nurse or to build a bridge to become an advanced practice nurse, the BSN program at the Bradley School of Nursing is the perfect option for you. In fact, as our population ages, a BSN may soon be a requirement for nurses. The β€œFuture of Nursing Report,” issued by the Institute of Medicine and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, recommends that 80% of registered nurses have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree by 2020.
