Introduction

Are you interested in getting a degree or certificate from Pima Community College? International Students do not need a TOEFL score or advanced English proficiency to begin their studies!

We offer credit ESL courses in Reading, Writing, Oral Communication, Pronunciation, and American Culture. Begin at your level, from high-beginning to advanced, and build a solid foundation for success at Pima and for university transfer.

What is the application deadline?

Fall semester

  • June 1 Spring semester
  • October 1 Summer semester
  • April 1

All required documentation and fees are due by the above deadlines. For students who are overseas, please apply one month earlier than the dates listed to allow time for visa appointments at the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate. Pima does not guarantee the processing of applications received after these deadlines.

How can I pay the $65 international application fee?

Get a check or money order for $65 (U.S.) made payable to Pima Community College from a U.S. banking affiliate. Pay by credit card by submitting a credit card authorization form. You will receive instructions on how to do this securely.

Please do not send any information until we have given you instructions on how to do so. Do not send cash or international postal money orders. Application fees cannot be refunded, waived or transferred to a future application.

What score do I need on the TOEFL?

An official TOEFL score of 61 (internet-based), 173 (computer-based) or 500 (paper-based) is required for an academic program. The test is not required for study of English as a Second Language.

What is an Affidavit of Support?

An Affidavit of Support is a legal document that shows that you have enough available funds while you are attending Pima. The support can come from a combination of your and a sponsor's financial resources. It is required to attend Pima.
