Study Art and Design in Paris
Our Summer Program at Paris College of Art gives you the opportunity to study art and design while experiencing Paris as part of your learning environment. You will be taught by an international faculty of professional artists and designers and take part in studio work, lectures, independent research and project-based learning.
We use the city as both a source of inspiration and a subject for creative exploration. Through visits to museums, studios, boutiques and design organizations, as well as field trips across Paris, you will connect classroom learning with the city’s artistic and cultural resources. These experiences will help you develop new skills, strengthen your understanding of art and design, and create portfolio work that can support future college or graduate school applications.
Most courses run for two weeks, with intensive classes held five days a week from 9 am to 5 pm. You will take one class at a time, allowing you to focus fully on your chosen subject. Some undergraduate and adult-level courses also require independent research and participation in group projects.
Choose the Level and Course That Fits You
We offer Summer Program courses for students with different levels of experience. Courses are intended for pre-college students age 16 and up, current college and graduate students, working professionals, and other adults interested in art and design. Many classes bring together participants with different ages and levels of experience, and faculty tailor coursework depending on students’ prior experience.
All courses are taught in English, although some studio courses may also be accessible to French-English bilingual students with limited English skills. Because classes are intensive, you will be expected to work independently, conduct research and collaborate with others where required. We recommend checking the prerequisites for your chosen course before registering.
We also offer professional development opportunities for art educators, including focused courses designed for secondary-school art teachers who want to expand their teaching practice.
