Introduction

Communications and Electronics Engineering (CEE) is the utilization of science and math applied to practical problems in the field of communications. CEE engineers engage in research, design, development and testing of the electronic equipment used in various communications systems. It is due to electrical engineers that we enjoy such modern communication devices as cellular telephones, radios, and television.

The CEE Programs at PPU were founded in 2006 to maintain pace with global developments in the field with an up-to-date curriculum that has been prepared based on the local market needs. At the beginning of the academic year 2015/2016, a joint MSc program in electrical engineering is launched with a Telecommunications track to provide necessary facilities to be utilized by graduate students during their studies and thesis.

CEE Programs Objectives

  • Provide the Palestinian Communication sector with engineers that have a strong scientific background, and with needed skills and ability to maintain services of communication equipment.
  • Prepare properly trained human resources in areas of science and technology, with particular emphasis on quality programs.
  • Expand graduate studies and support scientific research and professional studies either locally or globally.
  • Develop students’ personalities and professional ethics via a balanced program of extracurricular activities envisaged to form an integral part of student life on campus.
