Undergraduate Admissions

To be admitted to an online bachelor’s degree program, students:

  • Must be a minimum of five years post high school graduation/GED OR at least 25 years of age by the first day of class;
  • Must have at least 60 college credit hours completed;
  • Must have at least a 2.0 GPA;
  • Complete the online application;
  • Provide official college transcripts from all institutions;
  • International students must demonstrate English proficiency.

Once OU receives all materials, we will begin processing your application. Admissions will email a decision letter to the address listed on the application. The average processing time is 2 to 3 business days.

Graduate Admissions

Admissions requirements vary by degree program. Check with your intended program of study for information regarding minimum grade point average requirements and supplemental documentation requirements.

Students must:

  • Complete the online application;
  • Provide official college transcripts from all institutions;
  • International students must demonstrate English proficiency;

The Higher Learning Commission accredits the University of Oklahoma. The Higher Learning Commission is one of six regional accrediting agencies in the United States. Institutional accreditation evaluates an entire institution and accredits it as a whole. Other agencies provide accreditation for specific programs. Accreditation is voluntary. The Commission accredits approximately 950 institutions of higher education in a nineteen-state region. The U.S. Department of Education recognizes the Commission.
