Introduction
The degree program in Polymer Engineering imparts students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work as an engineer in the plastics manufacturing, processing, and utilizing industries. This includes, among other things, the planning and application of modern production methods and the plastics-optimized design, layout, and configuration of faultless plastic components. Other topics include, for example, the design and construction of tools, systems, and devices for the manufacture and processing of plastic components.

Curriculum
The standard period of study of the modularly-structured Plastics Engineering Bachelor's degree program is six semesters.
Initially, basic knowledge is primarily imparted in the first three semesters. This includes the mathematics-natural science and engineering basic subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Strength of materials, etc.
The scientific internship project as well as the Bachelor thesis with colloquium with 15 credits each are done in the 6th semester. A total of 180 credit points are to be completed for the Bachelor of Science degree.
The degree program concludes with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) title.
