Introduction
OSU’s Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management is a rigorous degree program designed specifically for experienced engineers and scientists who are interested in accelerating their management careers. Managing today's global organizations requires a complex set of knowledge and skills. Effective planning, selection, implementation and management of technology, and the teams involved, are essential to the success of any business in today’s time-critical, global markets. MSETM students learn to apply proven evaluation concepts and implementation strategies to fast moving, technical management decisions that make the difference in both career and business success addressing the real needs identified by industry leaders.
Admissions
Scholarships and Funding
Almost all doctoral students are supported by a graduate teaching or research assistantships which come with a tuition waiver and a minimum stipend of $2,300 per month. Many Masters students also receive graduate teaching or research assistantships. Students are responsible for university and college fees. If a non-resident student enrolls in 20 credit hours in a year, they will be responsible for approximately $6,800 in fees. Additional scholarships are also available in the college and individual schools.
Curriculum
The MSETM is a 32 credit hour program that permits students to build a strong degree that directly prepares them for the future. Coursework is divided into two categories: Required and Elective. Depending on your location and employment status you can choose one of two tracks: Professional Online or Full-time On-Campus
The Required courses include an introductory course (1 hour), a decision analysis course (3 hours) and the capstone series (4 hours). Our introductory course, ETM 5111, offered every spring and fall semester, should be taken immediately after the student is admitted to the program. The decision analysis course, ETM 5143, will be critical in preparing the student for the final ETM Capstone and can be taken any time prior to ETM 5133. The Capstone series for online students, ETM 5511 and ETM 5133 are taken sequentially. Ideally, a student would enroll in ETM 5511 near the midpoint of the program. This preparation course will assist the student in defining a proper project for the Capstone. The ETM program culminates in the delivery of the final Capstone project in ETM 5133, taken near the end of the program.
The remaining 24 credit hours will be chosen from the Electives list and should include a minimum of 3 one-credit-hour courses
Plan Of Study

Program Duration
On average our students take 4-5 credit hours a semester. The program can be completed in a minimum of 18 months and a maximum of 7 years. Students typically complete the degree in about 3 years.
