Key Summary
The growing importance of data analytics
With digitalization, a large share of services, production systems, and business processes continuously generate data. Data is collected not only from online services but also from mobile devices, sensors, IoT solutions, automation systems, and industrial production environments. This provides companies and organizations with the opportunity to utilize large amounts of data in the development of services, products, processes, and decision-making.
The importance of data and data-driven insights is emphasized in the development of business, technology, and production. Data analytics enables the examination and understanding of large datasets through modeling, simulations, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Analytics can be used to improve customer experience, production efficiency, system reliability, and the performance of new digital services. When data is high-quality and sufficiently comprehensive, decision-making is based on researched information rather than assumptions. Data-driven management and development are significant competitive advantages now and in the future.
