A minimum of 9 hours must be taken at the 2000 level. Additionally, a minimum of 15 hours must be taken in residence. The Certificate of Applied Science in Business Technology will satisfy 30 hours for the Associate of General Studies degree program for students who want an associate degree.

Certificate of Applied Science (CAS) is a more academically-oriented program (usually 30-42 hours) created by combining a CTS with a limited general education component (at least 9 hours). At a minimum, the general education component should be fully transferable into any undergraduate academic program. After completion, students may consider pursuing an associate degree in the same field.
