The Applied Informatics Study Programme has been designed to meet the increasing demand for various profiles in information and communications technology. It is aligned with the needs of IT companies looking to employ graduates who will, in addition to theoretical knowledge, have the necessary skills needed to start working on projects straight after getting their degree.

To achieve that goal, the study programme incorporates, on the one hand, the subjects which provide students with comprehensive basic general knowledge in information communications technologies and, on the other hand, subjects that enable students to further specialize and deepen the knowledge in specific areas such as programming, use and development of web technologies, database management, business applications development, electronic businesses etc. The students can apply and improve their knowledge in the Applied Informatics Programme through work placements in the second and third year. A work placement lasts at least two weeks and takes place in an IT company of studentsโ€™ own choice or in one of the IT companies with which the school has signed a work placement agreement.
