Introduction

If you are interested in nutritious foods and a healthy environment, the Sustainable Land and Food Systems concentration is for you (curriculum). Here at NC A&T, we are educating the next generation of land and food system leaders. We do this by using 21st-century approaches including technology-driven classroom instruction, experiential learning on our urban food platform and student farm, and service learning opportunities on-campus and around our community. In this program, you will engage in a broad range of topics and courses that educate you on maintaining healthy soil and water resources while producing wholesome foods. While our focus is on local systems including urban production, knowledge and skills gained here are transferable to national and international levels. Upon graduation, meaningful jobs are plentiful across the span of industry, government, education, non-governmental organizations, as well as entrepreneurial opportunities.
