    About : The Masters in Sustainable Production and Utilisation of Marine Bioresources focuses on the sustainable management of marine resources. Students will explore various aspects of marine bioeconomy, including marine biotechnology and environmental management practices. This course provides interdisciplinary knowledge essential for addressing marine resource challenges, preparing graduates for a competitive job market in sustainability and marine science.

Opportunities exist in both public and private sectors, allowing students to contribute to the sustainable use of marine resources while potentially influencing marine conservation initiatives.

MAR-BIO is a research-based Master's program combining competence from different Nordic countries to educate next-generation professionals within the area of blue growth and marine circular economy.

Through an interdisciplinary approach, the students gain insight into the interaction between Fisheries, Aquaculture, Environment, Law, Management, Production and Utilisation of Marine Bio-resources. The program builds on expertise in these areas of the Nordic countries

The MARBIO Master program will be introduced by a mandatory course which is organized by the partner universities responsible for the program and comprises web-based modules combined with a physical meeting (intensive campus course and/or field visit, …) for up to one week at the partner universities.

The students enrolled in the program must take a minimum of 30 ECTS at one of the partner universities.

Depending on the master's thesis and electives, students could gain expertise in the following areas depending on the partner university:
