Introduction
The Bachelor of Music in Performance is designed for students who wish to pursue professional careers in the performing arts or related fields. Acceptance into this degree is selective and is based on an audition on the student’s primary instrument. Students in this degree program are exempt from the requirement to complete a minor or focus.
Northern Kentucky University's School of the Arts Music Program offers a full range of performance and education opportunities to Music majors. Since our primary focus is undergraduate instruction, students receive individual attention from outstanding musicians, teachers and scholars. We believe that we offer our students the best professional training in a friendly, caring and personal musical environment.
Students have numerous performance opportunities in varying genres. Our ensembles perform on campus and around town throughout the academic year and have toured nationally and internationally.
