About Department
The Civil Engineering department includes construction, hydraulic, transportation, and geotechnical knowledge as well as basics about civil engineering. The principle of the department is to develop students' creativity, teach them how to make research, design, plan, and apply. Priority is to have graduates who are socially developed, can improve themselves, produce scientific information, make analysis and synthesis, research. Our aim is to make our graduates apply the information they get during the education period in their professional life properly, and adapt to changes.

About Courses
The Department ofย Civil Engineeringย offers courses that have the information that can be utilized in every stage of professional life. Introduction to civil engineering, professional mathematics, surveying, sewage, worksite administration, steel structures, professional English is the core courses. Many elective courses about specific subjects are offered to students as well.

Civil engineering is also one of the jobs that have special working conditions. Graduates can open their own businesses and work as an engineer. Since there is a great amount of investment in the construction sector in our country and abroad, qualified engineers are needed in the field. For this reason Chamber of the Civil Engineers joined the European Council of Civil Engineers.
