Programme Objectives

Assessment
The programme will be assessed through a combination of different types of assessments, including more traditional methods such as written examinations and coursework (including through presentations and podcasts), as well as, for example, participation in advocacy or negotiation, writing client letters and writing reflectively about learning experiences.
During the course of the Programme, you will have the opportunity to develop a range of skills, knowledge and attributes (known as learning outcomes). For this programme, these are:
- Demonstrate an understanding of legal principles and skills essential in a range of sectors for a law graduate.
- Appraise the fundamental doctrines, theoretical debates and concepts of contemporary law and practice.
- Analyse the context and boundaries of application of the law in the national and international context.
- Evaluate legal problems and propose workable and amicable solutions.
- Critically assess sources and materials to construct arguments.
- Analyze legal problems and propose practical and amicable solutions.
- Apply information management and application skills.
- Develop analytical, problem-solving and applicative approaches to the interpretation of law.
- Produce coherent and convincing arguments and engage in critical thinking and debates.
- Act ethically, professionally and with integrity as a legal professional and apply effective managerial and entrepreneurial practices to make effective decisions.

You will be expected to engage in learning activities to achieve these Programme learning outcomes. Assessment of your modules will reflect these learning outcomes and test how far you have met the requirements for your degree.
