Introduction

Master in Journalism

It is the 15th anniversary of the chair "Journalism and world literature," at the Nakhchivan State University in 2017. The staff training of the journalist began at the university from 2001. In 2002 the "Journalism and world literature" department was established for the purpose of organizing works systematically and efficiently in this field. The first head of the chair was I.Jafarov, the Ph.D. on philology, assistant- professor. In subsequent years, the Ph.D. on philology, assistant- professor S.Sura led to the chair from 2006 to 2013. Currently, the chair is headed by the Ph.D. on philology Shahla Shiraliyeva.

The main directions of scientific research of the chair are the labor problems of modern Azerbaijan journalism, the history and development of television and radio in Nakhchivan, yesterday and today of Nakhchivan press, television and radio journalism in the twenty-first century, e-journalism, the problems of Azerbaijan journalism history and topical problems of international journalism.

The education is in two levels in Azerbaijani (full-time): bachelor and master.

6 are Ph.D. on philology from 8 colleagues of the chair.

For the formation of journalist staff, Media Center, University television, "Nuhchikhan" radio, as well as the "New Thought" newspaper are functioning at the university.
