Whether you want to work in music production, post-production for film/TV, live sound, game audio, creative sound design, or mastering, our courses will give you the knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful career within the Creative Industries.

You will have access to first-class recording studios incorporating industry-standard hardware and software, bespoke digital audio workstation labs, and have the opportunity to participate in location sound recording throughout Scotland. Offering various entry levels, our dedicated lecturing team will help you determine the right start for you where you will have the opportunity to progress to our BA Commercial Sound Production Course.

This practical and unique Access to Creative Industries is a great opportunity for anyone to take their first steps towards professional training in music and multimedia.

Run in partnership with Reeltime Music based in Newarthill, the 18-week course covers all aspects of music and multimedia in a practical nature and within a commercial studio environment.

Applicants must demonstrate an interest in working in the music and sound production industry as part of their application and participate in a formal interview. Experience in using computing software and possessing good communication skills are essential.

Prior relevant industry experience will also be considered.

Students will select practical media projects counting towards a recognized qualification and offering progression to further education within a creative industry context. Using industry-standard software and hardware, you'll have access to a fully equipped recording studio and music rehearsal facilities at our Motherwell Campus and Reeltime Music studios.
