Introduction
The Master's in Social Work is a postgraduate degree whose purpose is to provide training of excellence for the constitution of a critical mass of professionals, teachers, and researchers in the region in the field of Social Work.
This fourth level career responds, on the one hand, to the need to promote the construction of Social Work as a discipline that accounts for a professional intervention based on conceptualizations based on social theory. This, considering that it is a profession with more than eighty years of existence in our country, with a professional practice backed by qualifying certifications and with 100 years at the international level, which has maintained a trajectory marked by the search for social and academic validation.
On the other hand, the offer of the Master attends especially to an approach that is built and developed from interdisciplinary training spaces in the search for a holistic understanding of a world in constant change, to intervene with anticipatory intentionality of future scenarios and with a clear intention to modify the current reality. The complexity with which social reality is expressed demands from the disciplines that develop in this space a production of knowledge that accounts for it, contributing to the rigor in the understanding of social phenomena and professional intervention in them.
