Introduction

Master Program in Hakka Social and Cultural Studies, the first Hakka academic research and educational organization in Taiwan, was established in August 2003. Taiwan is a multicultural society, with a variety of ethnic groups that speak different languages, for example, the aboriginal, Holo, Hakka, etc. This makes Taiwan a society of rich cultural heritage. Our program provides students with interdisciplinary courses on issues of Hakka society and culture in Taiwan and overseas, such as China and Southeast Asia.
