Murdoch's unique approach to legal education is facilitated by world-class academics who are also legal practitioners. Law and Murdoch provides students with a wide range of perspectives and practical experiences. The on-campus legal clinic offers hands-on learning opportunities for students to expand their knowledge of the law while providing vital legal services to the community.

Students can develop their practical legal skills through the Mooting Program run at Murdoch's Herbert Smith Freehill Moot Court, which simulates a courtroom environment. These programs offer a platform for students to hone their advocacy skills by participating in mock trials, moot courts, and negotiating competitions.

Through Murdoch University’s Work Integrated Learning (WIL) internship program you can also apply your learning to real work settings. Students can undertake an internship with a range of host organisations that match their interests including law firms, government agencies and not-for-profit sectors.

Murdoch also offers students international experiences through its human rights program, which allows students to travel to Geneva during their July break and earn credit towards their degree.
