Introduction
The Curriculum in High-Performance Car Design (HPCD) is part of the Master's Degree in Advanced Automotive Engineering (AAE) and is designed for students who want to pursue a career as design and manufacturing engineers, experts in the development of high performance vehicles, through state-of-the-art computer-aided engineering methods and tools for aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, structural analysis for chassis and body, engineering design of automotive components and systems.
The course lasts two academic years and covers the main aspects of vehicle design and manufacturing, dynamics and NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness), materials behavior, mechanical engineering and electronics, aerodynamics, thermo-fluid dynamics, automatic controls and electronic sensors.
The number of places is limited to a maximum of 20 students. Admissions are based on merit and interviews evaluating motivations and skills. All teachings are delivered entirely in the English language.
The course in High Performance Car Design is held entirely at the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari (Modena Campus). The first semester of the first academic year is common to the other curricula of the Master’s Degree Course in Advanced Automotive Engineering.
Muner's international faculty consists of highly experienced lecturers and professionals. The contents of the courses have been defined together with the contribution of the partner companies to ensure that the training is in line with the current requirements of the labor market.
The program requires students to participate in numerous laboratory activities, either on campus or at the premises of industrial partners, in line with a "learning by doing" approach. It also includes mandatory internships in private companies and lab-based thesis preparation activities, which are conducted using a "project work" approach.

Career Opportunities
The curriculum has been designed in close collaboration with companies operating in the automotive sector, in order to allow the seamless insertion of graduates in high-level positions in the research, development and manufacturing environments focused on vehicles and their technologies.
Since companies require highly qualified engineers with specialized skills, the Master's program requires students to complete mandatory internships in private companies, as well as laboratory-based thesis preparation activities that follow a "project work" approach. Students also attend seminars with industry and international speakers, factory visits and alumni talks throughout the year.
The High-Performance Car Design engineer will be in charge of the set-up and development of vehicles, ranging from fundamental design aspects up to the design of the main groups and “cold” sub-groups of high-performance vehicles.
