Economics is a broad discipline that includes examining issues of scarcity; decisions about production, distribution, and consumption; and behavioral responses to incentives in all areas of life. The study of economics touches many fields including finance, healthcare, education, the environment, sports, labor and household decisions, and public policy. The economics major provides you with a background for careers in business, government, economics, law, public administration, planning, as well as preparation for graduate study.

4+1 Program
The 4+1 program provides our undergraduate students the opportunity to earn two degrees in one stop. Couple your undergraduate degree with any one of our four business master's degrees. You'll begin taking graduate-level courses in your senior year to help you transition into a full, final year of graduate studies.

Internships
An internship is an opportunity to apply theory to practice. It's a chance to gain perspectives on what you learn in the classroom and to do some self-reflection. You’ll get to "try a job on" and find out if it's right for you before you cross the graduation stage. Moravian students have interned at Morgan Stanley, Crayola, PPL Electric Utilities, Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem, and more!

Research
Students in all areas of study are encouraged to participate in research and explore their passions at Moravian. Opportunities include the Honors Program, InFocus, and Student Opportunities for Academic Research (SOAR).

Study Abroad
Sophomore year is the perfect time for a study abroad opportunity, or, as we like to call it, a “Global Greyhound Trip.” The Elevate experience includes a faculty-led trip to one of our featured destinations, like the Czech Republic or Costa Rica, at no extra cost to students!
