Course information
A degree in AI and Data Science will equip you with the knowledge and skills to acquire, curate, manage, analyse, and make inferences from data for solving real-world problems.
In your first year, you will study a broad overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the study of enabling computers to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. You will also explore core computing topics such as programming and databases, as well as specialist subjects as well as undertaking a team project, where you will deliver a technical solution to a real-world inspired challenge.
As you move into your second year you’ll examine the far-reaching impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on individuals, communities, and institutions. You will also develop practical skills in data modelling and advanced querying, as well as gaining experience with tools and
principles that underpin scalable, optimised, and reproducible data processing pipelines. In your final year, you’ll be ready to discover complex advanced approaches to building and applying AI models. You will also explore how AI is reshaping organisational practices, service delivery, and workforce structures, with the course culminating in an opportunity to turn your hand to a large-scale technical project. Alongside these, we will also support you to develop your communication and team working skills.
