Course information
The BA (Hons) Business Administration and Management provides a well-rounded, career-focused grounding in key business disciplines, designed to instil clarity, confidence, and employability from day one.
Year one introduces modules such as sustainable business, marketing, the customer experience, contemporary issues in global business, and developing professional competencies.
In year two, you’ll then go on to explore areas such as responsible, social, and community entrepreneurship, digital business transformations, critical thinking for management and accounting, and financial markets. Emphasis is placed on project management, ethical decision-making, intercultural communication, and digital proficiency.
Your final year culminates in modules on international strategy leadership, entrepreneurial practice, and marketing, sales, and selling. You’ll also apply your learnings in an international project, working on a brief set by an overseas organisation. This module embeds reflective practice to ensure you continuously capture what you have learned from the experience.
The course is delivered by research-active academics based in our triple-accredited business school. During your time on the course, you will have many opportunities to connect with the industry, including frequent guest lectures, consultancy challenges, and optional international placements. Studying in Manchester means you’ll benefit from strong links with local and national employers, such as Manchester City, BBC, Deloitte, IBM, and NatWest, through placements, networking events, and live briefs.
