    About: The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices in the design and construction of infrastructure.     Career Outcomes: Graduates can pursue various career paths, including roles as civil engineers, project managers, construction inspectors, or environmental consultants. They may work in fields related to infrastructure development, urban planning, or sustainable design in both public and private sectors.

The Civil Engineering program aims to provide the highest quality, broad-based technical, scientific, and liberal education to enable students to qualify for graduate or advanced education and professional work in a wide range of civil engineering activities.

It adopts an outcomes-based learning experience program covering structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, construction engineering and management and environmental engineering.

The program’s thrust is to create and maintain an outcomes-based educational environment that shall enable graduates to practice as successful civil engineers for the advancement of society and to promote professionalism in engineering practice.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Within the five years after graduation, the graduates of the Civil Engineering program shall have:

i. Undertaken, singly or in teams, projects that show an ability to solve complex engineering problems

ii. Had substantial involvement in projects that take into consideration safety, health, environmental concerns, and public welfare, partly through adherence to required codes and laws.

iii. Demonstrated professional success via promotions and/or positions of increasing responsibility

iv. Demonstrated life-long learning via progress toward completion of an advanced degree, professional development/continuing education courses, or industrial training courses

v. Exhibited professional behavior and attitude in engineering practice

vi. Initiated and implemented actions toward the improvement of engineering practice
