Introduction
It is possible for undergraduate majors in the College of Business to count up to six hours of 500- or 600-level COBA classes toward both their undergraduate and graduate degree. Students wishing to enroll into the program are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Here's how it works.......
Ideally, Undergraduate students should first apply for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program during the second semester of their junior year. Students may enroll in their senior year of undergraduate course work, although the opportunity to take accelerated course offerings may become more limited. Admission into the MBA program requires students to complete the GMAT exam. Students completing the exam should achieve for a composite score of at least 450 (approximately the 30th percentile). The application for admission and information about the GMAT exam can be accessed by selecting the appropriate links listed at the bottom of this page. International students may contact the office of International Student Services for additional assistance.
In addition, the student must be accepted into the accelerated program and receive prior approval from the graduate advisor, department head of the undergraduate program, and the Dean of the Graduate College. Acceptance into the program and all approvals must be completed prior to the end of the Change of Schedule Period for the particular semester in which Accelerated courses are being taken.
As an MBA requirement, students exercising the accelerated MBA option will also be required to have had one year of professional experience or a three-hour internship.
