Key Summary
The BA Honours Business Management (Project Management) degree is taught at Middlesex University’s Business School where we deliver high-quality teaching and research and provide a supportive learning environment. Our Project Management pathway, under the umbrella of Business Management offerings, allows students to shape their studies towards their career ambitions, and build the specialist skills to plan and manage business projects to ensure they are completed on time and on budget.
Supported by academics who bring industry experience to their teaching, students will study the key functions that underpin business success, along with advanced skills in order to deliver business projects on time and on budget, within agreed timescales and with allocated resources.
With increasing competition and the need for innovation, organisations have increased their project activity leading to the need for professionals with knowledge about project management. Since no two projects are the same, working in a project environment will be an intellectually stimulating experience. This programme covers important aspects of projects which can help in the successful delivery of projects.
Students, during their course of study, will develop key business skills, knowledge and experience in order to excel in a management career. Companies and organisations require graduates who have expert business knowledge, and who can also demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills with the professional acumen to deal with challenges in a fast-paced corporate world. Students will learn to work effectively in teams and be able to present and communicate business management ideas with confidence.

Expand your knowledge of human behaviour
The BA Honours Business Management (Project Management) programme is offered in full-time study mode and runs over 3 years. The programme consists of four 30-credit modules per year. The first year comprises four compulsory modules dedicated exclusively to a Business and Management programme. In the second year, students study three compulsory modules designed to expand their knowledge of the behaviour of people in organisations, operations management and of the business environment. In the second year, students also undertake an optional module from a number of management discipline-specific modules, including human resource management, brand management and sustainable products.
In the final year, students study two compulsory modules designed to advance skills and knowledge appropriate to graduate level and with a focus on business management and project management. These are modules in management strategy and managing business projects. In the final year, students also undertake two options managing and developing projects with software, developing successful project plans, or a research project.
A variety of learning, teaching and assessment strategies are employed in order to enhance the student experience and ensure that as wide a range as possible of appropriate skills and learning outcomes are met.
