First and foremost, the people.
We are a community of enthusiasts in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy and other medical fields, jointly seeking answers, exploring the world of science, developing skills, supporting and inspiring one another. These people create an atmosphere of learning and collaboration that motivates and engages.
Second, studying and everything related to education.
A practical approach to studies, advanced curricula tailored to the needs of a changing world, an excellent faculty of researchers and clinical specialists, modern academic facilities equipped with top-quality equipment, laboratories, and lecture halls providing the right conditions for research and study, and hospital-based classes with direct patient contact – this quality speaks for itself. And the result? Highly prepared specialists in a demanding job market.
Third, action – learning in practice.
From the first years of their studies, our students gain multifaceted professional experience, are active in various areas, establish international contacts, engage in scientific circles and student organizations, develop their passions, and take
part in numerous social projects, preventive campaigns, and charitable initiatives. In short, they’re everywhere, and we’re, of course, thrilled about it.
Fourth, and lastly, student life.
Studying is not only about learning, and we won’t try to deceive you about that. Insiders say it’s a real school of life and an adventure you won’t forget... and often can’t fully describe. And if you experience it in a city like Lublin, memories are guaranteed! You can join the Medical University of Lublin and start your adventure with medical studies. We’ll help you catch the bug and fulfill your dreams on the medical career path. It’s your choice and our responsibility.
Student life
At UMLub, many student organizations and scientific clubs are active, allowing students to develop their interests, acquire new skills, and participate in various projects and scientific conferences.
Our students, doctoral candidates, and staff are passionate individuals – they receive distinctions, awards, and scholarships, secure significant research grants, win competitions, and their scientific achievements are recognized both nationally and internationally.
Students of the Medical University are involved in over 100 organizations and student clubs, blending social engagement with science. They develop their interests, gain experience, and help others. They organize prosocial, preventive, and charitable actions, lead projects, and host conferences that attract significant interest from both the academic community and city residents. They provide help and support to those in need, including both young and adult patients in Lublin hospitals, as well as children from orphanages.
The Student Government and Student Scientific Society play a special role – collaborating with university authorities, they protect the rights of all our students and support cultural, scientific, and sports initiatives.
For over 40 years, the Academic Choir has been active at the university, composed of students and staff from all faculties. They are a group of friends who sing their way to awards and distinctions and accompany all important ceremonies at the university.
The Medical University of Lublin is also proud of its Song and Dance Ensemble – the only folk ensemble operating at a medical university in Poland and Europe! In over 45 years of activity, nearly 3,500 students and medical doctors have been involved. Together, they’ve traveled the world, performing over 2,000 shows.
In addition to academics and social activities, sports play a significant role in the lives of our students and staff. Many are affiliated with the University Academic Sports Association (AZS) of UMLub and proudly represent our university in sports events both nationally and internationally. In 2021, we inaugurated a new sports and event hall, equipped with seating for 800, sports courts, fitness rooms, squash courts, combat sports rooms, table tennis, a gym, and a climbing wall.
