Introduction
The International Business Management program is for those who want a challenging career in the international world of business and who want to study English together with students from all over the world. The program focuses on business administration with an in-depth focus on management issues and prepares you for a job as a manager, or salesperson or to start your own business in a globalized business world.
The EFMD-accredited International Business Management degree program (IBM) is aimed at students wishing to understand the challenges of international business in the 21st century. It provides the basis for professional specialization in the area of economy and business administration.
The impact of globalization is evident in the marketplace. Managers of tomorrow must be equipped to navigate the opportunities and threats created by an increasingly complex web of global competition and dependencies.
International Business Management students are encouraged to instigate and nurture close contacts with society, teachers, and other students, thus creating a network for future business life during their study years. There are possibilities to participate in an exchange program for one or two semesters in another country. This allows students to develop their intercultural and language skills.
There are three areas of focus to choose from in the International Business Management degree:
- accounting,
- marketing,
- management or economics.
The learning activities include traditional lectures but also require active participation in exercises, paper writing, presentations, and discussions in seminars.
The International Business Management Bachelor degree study program also develops the students’ skills concerning oral/written presentations, creativity, entrepreneurship, critical thinking, information search, scrutinizing material, and teamwork.
Program Outcome
Graduates of the International Business Management degree program will be awarded a bachelor's degree. It will provide a broad educational basis for the manager of a small or medium-sized enterprise. You are also prepared for a career in large corporations or public or non-profit organizations. The International Business Management Programme provides the theoretical basis as well as the skills and tools that are equally relevant for a company career as well as for an entrepreneur in a transnational context.
As an international business manager, you plan, organize, delegate, and control activities in global organizations and businesses. International business managers focus on coordinating activities leading to achieving company goals, taking into account cultural differences and regional governmental situations. Given the fact that the impact of globalization is evident in the marketplace, this job position holds much promise as a fast-growing area.
