Key Summary
"Business Economics and Management" (BEM) is the English equivalent of the study programme "Ekonomika a manažment podniku" (in the Slovak language). From the academic year 2005/2006, this programme is taught in English with full accreditation according to Slovak Law.
The graduate of the Bachelor programme “Business Economics and Management” is able to make use of the acquired knowledge in economics, quantitative methods, law, management and marketing. Their knowledge is extended in business planning, production management, international trade, financial analysis and entrepreneurship in small and medium-sized enterprises. They are also trained to get skills in professional communication in English and practical skills in information technology.
The graduates are also able to solve intermediate problems in calculations, budgets, planning and organizing of business processes. They have knowledge of basic managerial relations in business functions and a solid base to apply their knowledge, especially in small and medium-sized businesses
