The Bachelor of Science Program in Community Health Education is designed to encourage healthy lifestyles and wellness by educating individuals as well as communities. Students focus on preventative health strategies and health promotion. By graduation, students will be prepared to act as important health education resources in their communities.
Completion of the Community Health Education Program prepares students by covering a broad range of subjects and skills. Core Health Education courses include health promotion and illness prevention concepts, nutrition, communication skills, curriculum development, and program evaluation principles.
This program provides an empathetic approach to helping clients live healthy lives. Graduates are prepared to work in a variety of settings, with training and education focusing on a multitude of health issues.Students who join MUCH have the opportunity to participate in preventative health education activities both on campus and in the community. Their services supplement existing health education organizations while raising awareness about prevalent health and wellness issues facing the area.
