Management and Science University (MSU) is a globally recognised institution, ranked by both Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and Times Higher Education (THE), dedicated to building holistic human capital and championing equality through transformative education. Its award-winning academic programmes meet rigorous local and international standards, accredited by bodies such as the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), Japan’s ABEST21, the Netherlands’ ACEEU, the UK’s IBMS, and Sri Lanka’s UGC.

In the QS World University Rankings 2026, MSU is placed 597th globally, in the QS Top 100 for the world’s best young universities, 129th in Asia, 28th in Southeast Asia, and the QS Top 301+ for Graduate Employability. Online Mission Statement

Management and Science University strives to ensure firm support for student-oriented learning towards the university’s vision of nurturing balanced, holistic, and well-rounded graduates. Through the offering of multiple modes of learning, online learning has been a permanent feature at the faculties in bridging the academic delivery and learning experiences across campuses. As a globally ranked and engaged university, MSU expands learning opportunities beyond the physical campus while providing students with quality education that is accessible, flexible, and active.

In driving and transforming MSU towards excellence, financial assistance has been provided to outstanding and underprivileged students, including those from lower-middle-income nations, to access quality education. The funds are distributed through various means, including collaborative efforts between MSU and several public and private institutional partners. Besides tuition fees, assistance is also provided for meals, housing, transportation, and educational resources, subject to the applicant's socio-economic background. All scholarships, sponsorship, and financial aid are either offered through the MSU Foundation (Yayasan MSU) or MSU through the following scheme:

  1. President's Scholarship: MSU’s very own scholarship is one such scheme that has, over the years, benefited lots of students. This is an award given to students who exhibit exemplary academic achievements and come from an economically challenged background
  2. MSU Outstanding Rewards Scholarship (MORE): or MSU Outstanding Rewards Scholarship is initiated as an incentive to well-rounded students who excel in academics, with outstanding achievement in extra-curricular activities, and have represented the state or school in any competition
  3. Joint Scholarship: Joint scholarship schemes such as The Star Education Fund and Sin Chew Education Fund are some examples of MSU’s involvement in ensuring the less fortunate get the opportunity to continue their tertiary education at MSU.
  4. The scholarship is open to all Malaysians and ranges from a full to a partial scholarship.
  5. Fellowship and SLAB Schemes: In its effort to train qualified academics to manage the university’s human capital needs and to further enhance its research and innovation activities, MSU offers fellowship awards to local and foreign candidates for graduate studies leading to Phd at MSU.

The SLAB scheme, a fully funded internal programme aimed at developing academic staff in their pursuit of higher education, is another effort of the university among its staff development initiatives

Other Forms of Financing

  1. Affin Education Financing-I: MSU also formed a strategic partnership with Affin Islamic Bank Berhad through the Affin Education Financing-I, a Syariah-compliant scheme which is designed to help intending students enter all undergraduate and postgraduate studies at MSU.
  2. PTPTN: The National Higher Education Fund or Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi National (PTPTN) is an agency established under Ministry of Education, where it provides education loans to students pursuing their studies at local higher education institutions.
