If you want to enter the game industry as a concept artist, this program is built for you. Instead of spending 2 to 3 years in a traditional course, MAGES offers a focused 1 year pathway dedicated to building a strong, industry ready portfolio.
You will learn directly from seasoned professionals, including Kingston Chan, former Senior Art Director at FZD, and train in the structured workflows used in real studios. Through the creation of high quality characters, props, and environments, you will develop the skills, visual clarity, and design fundamentals needed to step into the industry with confidence.
The most respected concept artists in today’s entertainment industry are not just great at drawing. They are strategic thinkers, visual problem solvers, and world builders who can translate ideas into clear, production-ready designs. At MAGES, this is exactly how we train our artists.
Ranked among the Top 10 Concept Art Schools globally in 2025 by The Rookies, MAGES is recognised for developing artists with strong fundamentals, clear thinking, and industry-standard execution. We believe that talent alone is not enough. With the right strategy, structure, and guidance, artists can get there faster and with purpose.
In the Diploma in Concept Art and Entertainment Design, students build a solid foundation in both art and design while learning how professionals actually work in studios. The programme covers design thinking and research, advanced drawing and digital painting, industry-standard 3D workflows, and professional presentation techniques used in real production pipelines.
Our focused 12-month training framework is designed to replace years of unfocused practice with a clear, step-by-step progression. Students graduate with strong fundamentals, confident visual communication skills, and an industry-ready portfolio that meets the expectations of top studios.
Career pathways include Character or Environment Concept Artist, Creature and Prop Designer, Vehicle Designer, Theme Park Designer, and Game Illustrator. Our graduates have gone on to work at leading studios such as Ubisoft, Riot Games, Century Games, and Koei Tecmo.
If your goal is to enter the creative industry with confidence and direction, this programme provides the skills, mentorship, and proven strategy to help you get there.
