The PBL format enables academic staff to really be there for students, both academically and socially. All Problem-Based Learning tutorials have a class size of approximately 12 students. These Problem-Based Learning discussions tend to spill over from the classroom into the common room, which is the social hub of University College Maastricht. The common room is also the scene of many extracurricular events and activities organized by Universalis, University College Maastricht’s student association.
