Introduction

Lynn+ Watson Institute

In collaboration with Watson Institute, a mission-driven program for young social entrepreneurs, Lynn's College of Business and Management offers a revolutionary B.S. in social entrepreneurship for the most promising next-generation innovators, leaders, and changemakers.

As one of a select few Watson Scholars, you can be part of a powerful community of social entrepreneurs that will support you and protect your courage as you work to solve the toughest challenges of our time. As a student, you will take courses in design thinking and data science, and gain a strong foundation in business strategy and leadership.

You'll have the opportunity to participate in:

  • Watson mentor program: You'll be paired with a proven local entrepreneur, innovator, and leader based on how well you align with their mission and expertise.
  • Internship program: In three impact internship courses, you'll get hands-on experience working in an organization where your missions align.
  • Master course teachers: Learn from the world’s foremost leaders, entrepreneurs, and practitioners. Each week a master course teacher shares their entrepreneurial journey and experience as well as mentor Watson students. You could learn from Jerry White, a leader of the Nobel Prize-winning International Campaign to Ban Landmines; Tom Chi, who helped invent Google Glass and the self-driving car; and Erin Schrode, the youngest person to run for U.S. Congress.
