Key Summary

About : The Master's Programme in Data-Centric Engineering focuses on integrating data science with engineering disciplines. You'll learn how to leverage big data and analytics to improve and innovate engineering processes. The program emphasizes hands-on experience and collaboration with industry partners over the course of two years.
Career Outcomes : Graduates can explore exciting career paths such as data engineer, data scientist, or systems analyst. The skills gained will prepare you for roles in various sectors, including manufacturing, technology, and consultancy, where you can impact decision-making and problem-solving through data-driven strategies.

To develop innovative solutions to the world's most challenging problems, it is increasingly important to properly understand data and modern information processing methods.

The Master's program in Data-Centric Engineering is based on blending applied mathematics with computer science and engineering. During your studies, you will learn about artificial intelligence and machine learning and how mathematics and statistics form their basis. This will enable you to understand data and modern modeling and analysis methods, such as deep neural networks, profoundly and apply them to problems with societal impact. You will specialize in either Applied Mathematics or Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition.

The program is designed for students with a BSc degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, artificial intelligence, or the like.

During your studies, you will have extensive possibilities for international experiences, such as the Erasmus exchange and double degree programs with partner universities. In double degree programs, you will get MSc degrees from both LUT and its partner university.
