The Bachelor’s Program in Computational Science and Artificial Intelligence takes three years and leads to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Technology, B.Sc. (Tech.), which is 180 ECTS credits.
The program includes a general, intermediate specialization, minor, and language studies as well as a Bachelor's thesis at the end of the studies.
After completing a bachelor's degree in the computational engineering program, you can continue your studies in the Master's Programme in Data-Centric Engineering at LUT.
General Studies, 84 ECTS Credits
Includes courses on mathematics, statistics, and computer science, introduction to programming, and basic physics.
Intermediate Specialization studies, 58 ECTS Credits
Includes courses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, matrix calculus, optimization, and partial differential equations.
Minor Studies, 20 ECTS Credits
Options for minor studies include software engineering, energy systems, industrial engineering, and management.
Language Studies, 8 ECTS Credits
Finnish and English.

Early bird discount / First academic year
When required to pay a tuition fee, you are offered
- an Early Bird Discount of EUR 2 000 (thus the early bird fee is EUR 10,000)
for the first academic year if you confirm your place and pay the rest of the tuition fee of EUR 7,500 within 21 days from the date of having received your Certificate of Admission.
LUT Scholarships / Second and third academic years
- For the second academic year, 50% scholarships will be granted for the students successfully completing the studies on the first academic year (min.of 60 ECTS credits)
- For the second and third years, a scholarship of EUR 3,000 are available.
- For the third academic year, 50% Tuition Fee Waiver will be granted for the students successfully completing min. 120 ECTS credits in the first and second academic years.
- If the student continues their studies in a Master's programme after completing their Bachelor's studies at LUT University, the tuition fee for the first year of Master's studies is EUR 10,000.
