Introduction

Community and justice services professionals often work with clients who find themselves at a crossroads. They work within the justice system – focusing on keeping people out of it through prevention, intervention and rehabilitation. Help build stronger, safer communities by helping people at risk gain the skills and support they need to make positive life choices.

Intervention: When individuals encounter difficulties or engage in behavior that puts them at risk, community and justice services professionals step in to provide support and guidance. They offer counseling, mediation, and crisis intervention services to address immediate concerns and prevent escalation. Rehabilitation: For individuals who have come into contact with the justice system, these professionals play a crucial role in facilitating rehabilitation and reintegration into society. They provide access to resources such as job training, educational programs, substance abuse treatment, and mental health services to support positive behavior change and reduce recidivism.
