We’re on a mission: to change the world through the power of small.
In a world obsessed with big, we are small. Small gives us the power to do big things. In an impersonal world of big lecture halls and stadium seating, we know our students by name and circumstance.
Small free us to provide personal one-on-one attention, in small classes and personalized hands-on learning environments. The result? Loyalist graduates are job-ready with the skills needed to immediately impact challenging fields across biosciences, health, business and media.
As Ontario’s Destination College, our intimate campus is located on over 200 acres in the beautiful Bay of Quinte region and is perfectly positioned between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Our deep community roots and collaborative spirit ensure we work hand-in-hand with our local partners and industries to drive the future of innovation and workforce development in the Bay of Quinte region.

In order to study in Canada you will need your Letter of Admissions along with your passport to process your study permit/visa application at your local Canadian Embassy or Consulate. Please go to the IRCC website for details on applying for a visa/study permit and working in Canada. This website has helpful information about work permits for students, information for after you graduate, and for applying for permanent residency. If you are interested in staying in Canada after you graduate, please be aware that the length of study will determine the length you will be granted to remain in Canada after graduation. It is a requirement of CIC that international students study full time.
Loyalist College exceeded the provincial average in graduate employment, graduate satisfaction and employer satisfaction rates, according to annual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results, made public today by Colleges Ontario. With 88.8 percent of the College’s 2018-19 graduates employed within six months of graduation, Loyalist College has the highest graduate employment rate in Eastern Ontario. Satisfaction rates were also among the top with 100 percent employer satisfaction, 8.9 percent above the provincial average, and 83.8 percent graduate satisfaction, 4.9 percent above average.
“These excellent employment and satisfaction rates reinforce how well prepared our graduates are for their career destinations, made possible through empowered student journeys where applied learning experiences are enabled by a caring culture,” said Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan, Loyalist College President and CEO. “KPI data inform continuous improvements of our programming, Student Success services, and financial supports to help us remove barriers to postsecondary education access and completion.”
To inform the development and delivery of programs that effectively prepare students with employability and life skills that will help them succeed in their careers and personal lives, the College has established a framework of six Graduate Attributes. These include citizenship and global responsibility; cross-cultural understanding; Indigenous understanding; entrepreneurship and technology; health and wellness; and ecological literacy. Students acquire some of these attributes through program learning outcomes as well as cocurricular activities, which encourage self-reflection.
The Ontario colleges’ Key Performance Indicators were developed collaboratively by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, Colleges Ontario and student associations in response to the Ontario provincial auditor’s 1996 recommendations for outcomes-based accountability measures for public investment in college education. Since 1998, the provincial KPI data have been gathered annually by two independent research firms for the colleges and for the Ministry. Performance measurement provides institutions with year-over-year results to monitor progress against their goals, and to determine the strength of their programs in place to support and improve the student experience.
Loyalist College earned its place amongst Top 50 Reseach Colleges in Canada for the third consecutive year.
