Key Summary

About: The Master in Animal Science at LSMU trains specialists in husbandry, livestock management and feed science. The programme uses methods and technologies to analyze farm-animal problems and evaluate results. It’s a 2-year, 120 ECTS Master in Agricultural Sciences taught in English, with practical placements at agribusinesses and Erasmus+ exchange options. It covers animal breeding, forage and feed quality and milk and meat processing.

Career Outcomes: Graduates enter animal production, breeding and forage enterprises, feed quality labs, meat/dairy processing, alternative livestock businesses, consulting, municipal agricultural services, insurance and training providers. They may start own farms or continue to PhD research.

The Animal Science program offers an opportunity to apply modern knowledge, methods, and technologies in animal husbandry practice, empowers graduates to carry out independent analysis of problems associated with farm animals and evaluate its results.
