The Course follows a multidisciplinary approach, oriented towards users’ point of view throughout all the various stages of digital applications planning. These phases include: needs-identification of specific target users, creation of an application prototype, assessment of user-friendliness, and a promotional phase using digital channels.
Students who follow this curriculum will acquire an extensive and integrated knowledge of the main social research techniques and methodologies used to assess users’ needs (interviews, focus groups, questionnaires, interactive workshops, etc.) and will learn to analyze the relevance of available digital technologies – both “mobile” ones and those linked to the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data – for different categories of users. The acquisition of this knowledge represents the real added value of this specific curriculum.

Careers Overview
The range of professional opportunities for graduates of this course is linked to the human and social spheres of digital applications planning as well as to users’ experience that inspires the same planning.
Nowadays, there is increasing demand – from small and huge businesses and agencies active in the field of digital services – for professionals who are able to devise digital applications “for” society and “with” the society. Currently, the key priority is the integration of potential final users’ point of view into a real product. Graduates of this course will have the comparative advantage of being well-aware of different features of the available technologies and digital devices, while at the same time managing to tailor the various digital applications to specific categories of users as well as to the users’ environment, so as to meet expectations and fulfill requirements.
An important feature of this course is the ongoing cooperation with the University’s research centres. Several lecturers carry out research activities through the DASIC (Digital Administration and Social Innovation Center), which implements a range of projects focused on the application of new technologies at entrepreneurial, institutional, and social levels, aimed at introducing innovation and optimization into production, administration, and consumption processes.
